Who we are

Chaya ("we", "us", "our") is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any purchases made through it.

Acceptance of terms

By using our site and placing orders you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Return & Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Ordering & payment

Product listings are subject to availability. Payment is accepted via UPI only. Orders are marked pending until we manually verify your payment reference (UTR); we may contact you if there is an issue verifying payment before confirming your order.

Custom lamps & your photos

When you order a custom lamp, you upload a photo for us to turn into a shadow design. Please avoid uploading images that are too complex — for example group photos, busy scenes or landscapes, overlapping or cropped subjects, or blurry, dark or low-resolution images. These rarely produce a clear shadow.

We review every photo before production. If we find that your image is too complex to reproduce well, we may ask you to replace it with a different image, or we may cancel your order. If we cancel an order for this reason, we will refund the full amount you paid for it. If we ask for a replacement and do not hear back within a reasonable time, we may cancel the order on the same terms.

By uploading a photo, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We use your photo only to design and produce your order, as described in our Privacy Policy. Because custom lamps are made specifically for you, they cannot be returned for change of mind once production has started.

Pricing & returns

Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (₹) and may change without notice. Shipping charges and taxes, if applicable, will be shown before you confirm your order. Returns and refunds are handled per our Return & Refund Policy — in short, all sales are final except for defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped items.

Intellectual property

All content on the site (text, images, logos, and product designs) is owned by us or used under license, unless otherwise credited. You may not reproduce or reuse our content without permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or products. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka. If you have questions, contact hello@chaya.example.
