Upload a photo
Your pet, your partner, a favourite plant, a logo — anything with a clear outline. A well-lit photo against a plain background works best.
We design your shadow
We cut out the subject, trace a clean silhouette and carve in interior detail, then compute the exact wall shape that casts it. You approve a preview before we print.
Switch it on
Your lamp is 3D printed, assembled and shipped. Place it near a wall, turn off the lights, and your photo appears as a crisp shadow.

Made from your photo
Every lamp is one of one. The shadow wall is generated from your image, so the silhouette on your wall is unmistakably yours.
Crisp, true-to-shape shadow
The wall is shaped by projecting your silhouette back toward a point light, so the shadow lands sharp and undistorted.
Interior detail
Eyes, fur markings, hair lines — light tones in your photo become cut-outs, so the shadow has detail, not just an outline.
Round or rectangular
Choose an oval shade or a rectangular one. Both cast the same shadow — pick whichever suits your shelf.
Magnetic, swappable walls
The shadow wall sits on its base with magnets. Order extra walls and swap the shadow whenever you like.

Questions we've already answered
A clear, well-lit photo where the subject stands out from a plain background. Side profiles and full-body shots of pets read especially well as shadows. Very busy scenes or groups of people are harder — if we think your photo won't work, we'll tell you before anything is printed.
Go to the Custom lamp page, choose a shade, upload your photo and add it to your cart. After you check out, we email you a preview of the shadow to approve before anything is printed.
Busy scenes, group photos and blurry images rarely make good shadows, so please avoid them. If we can't reproduce your photo well, we'll ask you for a different image or cancel the order with a full refund.
Both, where the photo allows it. Lighter areas of the subject (like the white of an eye or a patch of fur) can be carved out of the wall, so they show up as light inside the shadow.
Place the lamp close to a plain, light-coloured wall in a dark room. The closer it is, the smaller and sharper the shadow; move it back for a bigger shadow.
Yes. The shadow wall attaches to the base with magnets, so you can order extra walls with different photos and swap them whenever you like.
Each lamp is designed and 3D printed to order. Expect a preview within a few days of sending your photo, and dispatch shortly after you approve it.
